I’ve had the good fortune of being able to travel to many beautiful destinations around the globe to document weddings. The Wedding Artist Co (an incredible collective I am part of) was recently asked by the Venue Report to pick our favorite venues.
Picking only six is incredibly hard – there are just so many beautiful venues out there. So I picked a favorite from each of my favorite part’s of the world.. New York, California, Italy and Australia – all places I dream about going back to. Check out the round up here.
I thought it would be nice to showcase a little more of my favorite 6 venues! So here they are :
Foxfire Mountain House – Mt Tremper, New York
Frederick Loewe Estate – Palm Springs, California
Academy Mansion – New York, New York
The Paramour Estate – Los Angeles, California
Convento dell’Annunciata di Medole – Medole, Italy
Euroa Butter Factory – Euroa, VIC, Australia
Foxfire Mountain House
Mt Tremper, New York
One of my all-time favorite venues. I love when I get to escape the city and spend the weekend up in Upstate New York. The natural beauty surrounding Foxfire and relaxed vibe is the perfect spot for an intimate outdoor wedding. I’ve photographed a few weddings at Foxfire over the past few years and love seeing how the landscape changes over the course of the different seasons. Fall in Upstate New York is of course spectacular and colors of all the trees at Foxfire are incredible.
New York, New York
Academy Mansion is beautiful building hidden in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Built in 1920, the mansion is a combination of old world charm mixed with hints of a French Chateau with double doors opening into the interior courtyard that the building is centered around. Events at Academy Mansion feel like you are stepping back in time.
The Paramour Estate
Los Angeles, California
Set on top of a hill on a 4.5 acre property in the Silver Lake District in Los Angeles, The Paramour Estate is a Mediterranean Revival architectural style mansion. A venue full of history with unique style as well as moody tones and details throughout, it’s a beautiful venue where you can have the ceremony on the lawn in the shade of eucalypt trees, cocktail hour around the pool with synchronized swimmers performing, dinner under the stars and a dance party in the purple ballroom. couples looking for a relaxed countryside wedding.
Convent of the Annunciation
Situated in the Italian countryside, approximately two hours east of Milan near Lake Garda, the Convento dell’Annunciata di Medole is a renovated fifteenth century convent. For couples looking for an idyllic Italian countryside wedding, this venue is the perfect setting for a beautiful night of eating and drinking under the stars in the beautiful gardens set around old arched buildings.
Euroa Butter Factory
Euroa, VIC, Australia
Two hours from Melbourne in the Victorian countryside, the Euroa Butter Factory is a restored grand old building that has been transformed from an old butter and ice factory from the early 20th century. Surrounded by rustic gardens and a few farm animals, it’s a beautiful venue for couples looking for a relaxed countryside wedding.
