Roxbury Barn & Estate Wedding, Catskills, Upstate New York

This beautiful wedding happened a few years ago (June 2017) but wanted to feature it nevertheless as I love heading up to the Catskills to photograph weddings – particularly when they are at amazing venues like Roxbury Barn & Estate and of a darling couple like Brianna & Justin. Roxbury Barn is about a 3 hour drive from Manhattan and is the perfect location for a weekend long destination wedding upstate – close to Route 28, you pass the famous Phoenicia Diner and Big Indian, turning off just before you hit Margaretville and is situated just before the town of Roxbury.  The couple hosted a bowling night at the 1960’s time capsule  The Ark Bowl & BBQ the night before the wedding which is a pretty rad idea to welcome guests to town and charm of the Catskills.

I love the Pine Grove for the ceremony location at Roxbury Barn. It’s a steep walk up the hill to get there, but well worth it being surrounded in the tall trees & feels very secluded. Cocktail hour happens in the Hilltop Pavilion before guests are ushered back down Spring Hill to the old carriage barn for a night of dinner & dancing – the Barnstorm had every person getting very sweaty on the dance floor for hours.  The night closed out with a big bonfire with s’mores.
